Quick update: Our facilitator called this afternoon to tell us that she had to move court to next Tuesday. The court document has been prepared but it still needs more signatures. We knew our timeline was very tight but were hopeful all would come through. Of course, we are disappointed but we are really okay. God is not surprised by this. He is still on His throne.
Artur mentioned court being tomorrow when we arrived today. At the time, we did not know yet that court had been rescheduled. We told him that we were still hopeful but did not know yet. We found out about the new court date while we were with him. We shared the news and he said, "Oh no, we need court...tomorrow!" I asked again if he was ready to go to America. He quickly said "yes." Helen and I were both glad to see that he is ready.
Today we had another good visit with Artur and our new friends. We started inside playing some games then headed outside. What started out as basketball turned into "Zombie" quickly. That's right...more running around and chasing kids for Scott. These activities are either keeping me young or confirming that I am crazy. Regardless, we're having a blast.
We are excited that we can celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow with some American families. Our afternoon should be full of Thanksgiving celebration which will be a great blessing for all of us.
We wish all of you in the U.S. a Happy, Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for! The list is endless. We are very thankful for your prayers and support throughout this entire adoption process. We are thankful for our wonderful families and friends. And we are thankful most for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who gave his life so that we could have life. God bless.
