8 Weeks old today!

Ok so the other day I looked down at Taylor, and as if I had not noticed before and was seeing for the first time... his huge hammies! I had noticed his plush cheeks, but we just had to share our laughter of this picture and something new to squeeze... Scott measuring his thigh

"You like my hammies, check out this bicep."

oh no! it's that lower lip!

Show us that tongue, Taylor!

Taylor is definitely a morning person, just like his Dad. In fact, Dad is up with him right now after a full bottle.

Latest happenings with Taylor

Taylor is 7 weeks old. He weighed almost 12 pounds and was 23 inches at his 6 week check up. Dr. Phillippi is wonderful, and said he should start sleeping longer at night. So the past few nights he has gone about 5-6 hours between feedings, which is really nice! He is smiling and cooing everyday, but not on command... you have to catch him in the right moment. He is a little more patient when he gets hungry, although his cry accelerates in a hurry if I take too long! He feels so thick and his cheeks are huge! He still looks like Scott to me, or some Marshall for sure maybe Scott's brother Sam. For those of you who don't get to hold him everyday, I just wanted to give you an update on this wonderful angel baby.

More pics...

Taylor wanted to give a "shout out" to all his family and friends.

Bob-o and Su-Su will appreciate the "little man" outfit from Uncle Sam and Aunt Danielle.

Daddy having his daily guitar/music lesson with Taylor. He's a Johny Cash fan right now but starting to like Praise and Worship.

Jennifer and Ellie White came to visit yesterday. Ellie is on track to be a great big sister (due April 16).

Gotta love bath time, especially drying off....
And back to the bath we go! I know, not cool.

Taylor enjoying his Rainforest bouncer from Cousins Peyton and Burney. That smile never gets old.

Practicing the "Macarena" moves. He almost has it.

Priceless...

No more scary movies for Helen...

Scott here. Helen and I recently agreed that she no longer needed to watch anymore scary movies. She processes these movies in her head after they are over and sometimes dreams about them (she being the victim...not good).

So, the movie The Sixth Sense was on tv Saturday night and I didn't think watching it was a good idea. But, Helen insisted that she was okay after I repeatedly asked her if we needed to change it. One of the first scenes is one of Bruce Willis' child patients from long ago has broken into their house. He is obviously a grown-up psycho now. There he stands, only wearing his underwear, screaming at Bruce Willis for giving up on him as a child. The man then shoots Bruce Willis and himself.

Now let's shift the scene to the Marshall household at 2 a.m. last night. Taylor was fussy most of the night, and Helen had already been up several times to try and calm lil' fella. I knew that he had been crying for a while now, so I decided to get up and see if I could help. Due to Taylor's crying, Helen did not hear me enter the room. She turned around from his crib, and there I stand, only wearing my underwear.....

Yeah, you got the picture. Scottie boy is now psycho man from the Sixth Sense. Helen screams hysterically at me and I pretty much did a back flip out of the room. I kid you not...I didn't get near that woman until I was fully convinced that she knew I was her husband. After some time, I slowly approached Helen to hug her. Turns out she was day dreaming (or night dreaming I should say) about psycho man killer as she was wrapping Taylor up in his blanket.

No more scary/suspenseful/disturbing/anything that remotely relates to psycho killer movies for the Marshall household.
